Roland Chretien

DIRECTOR OF SOUTHEAST REGION

Roland Chretien is Edgewater’s Southeast Regional Director. He is crucial in providing leadership, management, and technical expertise for Edgewater projects in the Southeastern US Region while supporting other important Edgewater initiatives.

 

Roland is a distinguished Certified Safety Professional with an impressive 35-year track record in project management and ESH&Q services for nuclear projects and operations in both government and commercial sectors. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including nuclear facility deactivation and remediation, outage support, waste treatment operations, and commercial chemical site remediation. Roland is highly skilled in promoting collaboration among stakeholders, both internal and external, while prioritizing a workforce safety culture to achieve zero accidents and injuries, all while meeting project schedules and goals. His exceptional management of large-scale projects has earned him two Best of SMS Awards for Excellence in Safety, Security, and Consulting.

 

Roland has held top positions such as HSE Director and HSS&Q Director, providing invaluable leadership across the DOE complex. He is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Springfield, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and he’s earned an associate’s degree in Health Physics/Industrial Hygiene from Chattanooga State Technical Community College.
